Bishop Robert E. White is a native of Washington, D.C. He is the son of the late Earl T. and Alice B. White.

Bishop White is a product of the D.C. Public Schools, having graduated from Bell Vocational High School in 1967. Upon graduation, he was drafted into the Armed Services and served with the 82nd Airborne Division of the Army until being honorably discharged in 1970.

Bishop White is married to the former Joanne Williams and they are the proud parents of two sons, Shomari and Joel.

He received and accepted his "call" to the Gospel Ministry in 1972 and was licensed by the Peace Baptist Church, Washington, D.C. In 1974 he was called to serve as the student/assistant minister of the First Rising Mount Zion Baptist Church, Washington, D.C., under the pastorate of the late Rev. Ernest R. Gibson. In 1976 Bishop White was called to the pastorate of the Seat Pleasant Baptist Church, Seat Pleasant, Maryland after returning to serve and being ordained by the Peace Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Arie L. Mangrum.

In 1981 being led by God, Bishop White along with 23 other believers organized the New Hope Baptist Church.

Bishop White's educational accomplishments are as follows:

Bishop White was consecrated a Bishop in the Lords church in October 2006

He serves as Vice Bishop of Ark Ministries of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where Bishop C. Anthony Muse serves as Presiding Prelate

Bishop White's motto is simple… "Follow me as we follow after Christ".
