Vision Statement
New Hope vision is to spread the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ and to be a safe haven for a lost and hurting
humanity by ministering to the total person - through worship, by sharing
and studying the Word of God and throughout the community, becoming
financially self sustaining, supporting family values, and supporting
those who are short-term or career missionaries.
History
New Hope Baptist Church was organized in November 1981
and held its first worship service at the John Bayne Elementary School.
In November of 1986, the church purchased housing property located at
3400 Pinevale Avenue, Forestville, Maryland. In 1993, after a lot of planning,
prayers, permit, and patience, the New Hope Baptist Church family moved
into its present renovated structure. Two years later, in pursuit of our
Pastor's vision additional property was purchased at 3415 Pumphrey Drive,
Forestville, Maryland. This property serves as the church's Annex 1.
New Hope is a very vibrant church, which attempts to minister to the total person. Some of our ongoing ministries are:

- Minds & Hearts Brotherhood (Ministry of Men)
- Daughters of Destiny (Under Age Girls)
- Sons of Promise (Under Age Boys)
- Bible Institute
- YAMERS (Young Adult Ministry)
- EverReady Choir, Combined Choir, Young People's Choir, Total Praise
- Men's and Women's Day Choir
- Outreach Ministry
- Media Ministry
As a church we are continuing to seek ways to expand the
Kingdom of our God and of His Son, Jesus Christ.
